Oklahoma has long been analogous with Bingo. This is because the Native tribes of Oklahoma have operated Bingo games for many years. Guests from every one of the nearby states pile in autos and travel into Oklahoma to gamble on Bingo for the weekends.

The 1988 IGRA followed a precedent setting decision by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year prior. Since that time, 23 of the thirty nine Amerindian tribes of Oklahoma have introduced bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Amerindian tribes to take advantage of the gambling restrictions, and today run ten casinos of their own. Bingo was the game on which the above-mentioned casinos were founded. automated games like slots were not authorized, due to the fact that they’re thought to contribute to gambling problems more than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma rules have changed to permit big American Indian gaming gambling dens. You will now see Native casinos with slot machine games, video poker and blackjack tables. Craps and roulette are still not legal in the Indian casinos as of yet, although this is only a matter of time. No one can authority whether having other gambling hall games in the bingo parlors will do for the popularity of bingo.
