Oklahoma has long been synonymous with Bingo. That is due to the fact that the American Indian tribes of Oklahoma have provided Bingo games for years. Guests from many of the nearby states pile in autos and visit Oklahoma to bet on Bingo over the weekends.

The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act became law after a benchmark decree by The U.S. Supreme Court just the prior year. From that instance, twenty three of the thirty nine Native bands of Oklahoma have established bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Amerindian band to take advantage of the gambling restrictions, and today operate ten gambling dens of their own. Bingo was the game on which the above-mentioned casinos were built on. computerized games like slot machine games were not allowed, since they’re believed to contribute to gambling dependency more than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma rules have changed to allow for big American Indian wagering casinos. You will now find Indian casinos with slot machines, video poker and black jack tables. Craps and roulette are not yet approved in the Native casinos as of yet, however that is only a waiting game. Nobody can authority whether having different games in the bingo houses will do for the draw of bingo.
