Oklahoma has long been synonymous with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the Amerindian bands of Oklahoma have provided Bingo games for many years. Patrons from every one of the nearby states load up in autos and travel into Oklahoma to bet on Bingo on the weekends.

The 1988 Indian Gaming Regulatory Act was introduced after a benchmark decision by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year before. Since that instance, 23 of the 39 Native bands of Oklahoma have opened gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the first Oklahoma Amerindian tribes to take advantage of the gaming laws, and today control 10 gambling halls of their own. Bingo was the game on which these casinos were founded. digital games like slot machine games weren’t authorized, since they are thought to lead to gambling problems more than bingo.

In recent years, Oklahoma governing edicts have changed to allow for enormous Native gambling gambling halls. You will now find American Indian gambling halls with one armed bandits, video poker and 21 tables. Craps and roulette are not authorized in the Native casinos yet, but that is only a waiting game. Nobody can authority what having different casino games in the bingo parlours will do for the popularity of bingo.
